Overland Park, KS (March 30, 2010) - British Telecom announced that it has appointed UnitedLex to support its in house legal teams. UnitedLex, a leading provider of legal support services, will primarily assist BT’s global legal teams in the commercial contracting and antitrust regulation fields.
By moving the existing in house team offering legal support services to UnitedLex, the BT Legal team will be free to focus on more complex and value-added activity.
David Eveleigh, General Counsel for BT Global Services, said: “BT Legal looks forward to working with UnitedLex. We are keen to develop cost effective ways of sourcing legal and commercial services whilst retaining quality. UnitedLex has demonstrated that it is forward thinking, and by embracing our ideas and working with us globally, UnitedLex will help us to achieve our goals. Our existing Gurgaon based in-house team delivering legal support services has performed extremely well, but the time is right for us to transition the work and our people to an established Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) organization who can offer industry best practices and provide global scalability. We believe that the services offered by UnitedLex will complement our global panel of law firms.”
Dan Reed, UnitedLex’s CEO, said “We are looking forward to working closely with BT. Delivering measurable quality and strategic legal technology are the two critical objectives and form our key business mandates. Accordingly, we have designed a robust quality control and quality assurance process to ensure consistently high, measurable quality for our work product.”UnitedLex (www.unitedlex.com) is a global leader in providing technology powered legal and business solutions.
