Dan’s focus throughout his career has been on helping companies optimize the legal, financial and operational aspects of their businesses. Prior to founding UnitedLex, Dan served as Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel to Adjoined Consulting, and then as Managing Director of Kanbay International. Adjoined provided management consulting, integration and outsourcing IT services to a primarily Fortune 500 client base (Adjoined was acquired by Kanbay International, India’s 6th largest IT services provider, for $225 million in early '06). At Adjoined, Dan helped establish the company’s unique brand of financial and legal execution while managing various offshore (India, Singapore and Malaysia) service provider relationships.
Prior to his career with Adjoined Consulting, Dan was Vice President of Corporate Development and Legal Affairs at SmartDisk Corporation where he guided such company through early stage structuring and execution of its initial public offering, and was responsible for all offshore (Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines) shared services, corporate development activity and research and development activity from a legal perspective. Dan began his career 17 years ago with Ernst & Young LLP providing audit and tax advice services to New York City area companies. He then went on to Greenberg Traurig LLP (an AmLaw top 10 firm with more than 1,500 lawyers) where he represented venture backed and Fortune 500 companies in the technology, financial, healthcare and manufacturing sectors.
Global Chief Operating Officer, UnitedLex Corporation
In his role as Global Chief Operating Officer, Pavan oversees daily business operations and is responsible for managing UnitedLex's business objectives in all geographies. He also serves on UnitedLex's Board of Directors. A visionary among BPO industry leaders, Pavan has been guiding the industry toward achieving competitive advantages beyond labor arbitrage long before the onset of commoditization of BPO services.
A seasoned and skilled professional, Vaish joined UnitedLex from IBM Global Process Services where he was the guiding force behind transforming the company from an emerging enterprise into one of the largest and most respected companies in the Global BPO industry. While CEO of IBM Global Process Services, Pavan was responsible for more than 40,000 professionals and significant delivery centers in India, the Philippines, Egypt, Costa Rica, the United States and Singapore. Pavan also led the acquisition of Redpill Analytics that formed the basis for IBM's high value business analytics group based out of Singapore.
Prior to IBM and the founding of Daksh (which became IBM Global Process Services), Pavan co-founded Quadrant Infotech, an offshore data capturing business focused on the US market.
Passionate about building organizations that leave a legacy, Pavan has worked hard to create an inclusive, global culture within organizations. He was a member of the IBM Integration & Values Team, a senior leadership team instituted by IBM's Chairman of Board and CEO Sam Palmisano. Pavan is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE).
Pavan is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute Technology (IIT), Kharagpur and holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He is also a Graduate of the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School.
Managing Director, Canaan Partners
With a broad range of hands-on experience founding, funding and supporting early-stage technology companies, Alok Mittal leads Canaan’s India operations. Alok focuses on investments in digital media and mobile companies, as well as innovators in managed software services and other IT enabled businesses.
Prior to joining the venture industry, Alok co-founded JobsAhead.com, a leading web-based recruitment business, which was acquired by Monster.com, the global leader in online recruitment. He also brings strong Telecom experience to Canaan having worked for Hughes Software Systems prior to that. Alok is also a co-founder of Indian Angel Network, and on the board of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) in Delhi. He has led Canaan’s investments in Bharat Matrimony, iYogi, Cellcast, Chakpak and MotorExchange.
Director, Helion Venture Partners
Rahul is a co-founder and Managing Director of Helion and has 15 years of venture capital investing and corporate development experience in technology product and services companies in India and the US. He serves on the Boards of UnitedLex, Mindworks, NetAmbit, Digitail Management Services, Getit and manages investments in Spandana and Equitas.
Between 2000 and 2006, Rahul was based in Silicon Valley as part of the investment team at Walden International, a global venture capital firm with more than $2B under management. Between 2004 and 2005 he also led the M&A efforts at e4e Inc., a Santa Clara, CA based BPO company with more than 4,000 employees across the globe.
Rahul started Venture Capital investing in 1996 in India as the first hire at Walden's India office. In this role he managed investments for Walden's India dedicated Fund between 1996 and 2000. Rahul has invested in more than 30 early-to-mid-stage companies such as Mindtree, Ikanos (IKAN), e4e Inc and Techspan (Headstrong). Prior to Walden, he worked in the Capital Markets Group at Lazard India, and in the Primary Market Department at the Securities Exchange Board of India.
Rahul has an MBA from University of California, Berkeley and graduated from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani in 1993.

Rodney has over 20 years of experience developing corporate strategy and executing business process and technology transformations that drive increased growth and profitability, a stronger competitive position in global IT markets and measurable value for shareholders and customers. He began his career at Accenture, moved on to become Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Products Division of Florida Crystals/Domino Foods, Co-Founder and CEO of Adjoined Consulting, Inc., Chief Operating Officer - Global Practices, for Kanbay, Inc., and Managing Director of Capgemini’s East U.S. business unit.
Rodney is also the Executive Chairman of Teliris, a leading provider of telepresence solutions, Chief Executive Officer of Blue Lagoon Capital 1 Fund, LLC, a private U.S-based executive advisory and private equity firm, and a Venture Partner for Columbia Capital, a premiere venture capital firm based in Washington, D.C. businesses.
Principal, Sequoia Capital
Gautam is a Principal with Sequoia Capital India where he focuses on investments in healthcare and technology. Prior to joining Sequoia, Gautam worked with McKinsey & Company as well as Arthur Andersen. Gautam holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and a Masters in Commerce from the University of Mumbai. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
